These terms govern your use of ScanLit ("the app," "we," "us"). By using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use ScanLit.
ScanLit lets you scan physical books with your device's camera to identify titles and authors, and view ratings, reviews, and purchase links sourced from third parties such as Goodreads and Amazon.
You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that happens under it. Please provide accurate information when creating an account.
Please don't use ScanLit to break the law, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service, or misuse the scanning feature in a way that overwhelms our systems or the third-party services we rely on.
Ratings, reviews, genres, and purchase links are provided by Goodreads, Amazon, and other third parties. We don't control this content and can't guarantee it's accurate, complete, or available at all times. Visiting a Goodreads or Amazon link takes you to their site, subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
Any paid subscriptions or in-app purchases offered through ScanLit are billed and managed by the Apple App Store, and subject to Apple's own terms and refund policies.
ScanLit is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Book identification and third-party data (ratings, reviews, pricing) may sometimes be inaccurate, incomplete, or unavailable — we don't guarantee results.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
You may stop using ScanLit and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.
